NOTICES

August 27, 2010:A Special Meeting of the Ambler Borough Planning Commission will be held August 31, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Ambler Borough Hall, 122 East Butler Ave, Ambler PA 19002 to review the following proposed ordinances: 1) Wetlands Ordinance, 2) Steep Slope Ordinance, 3) Woodlands Protection Ordinance, 4) Floodplain Revised Ordinance and 5) Riparian Buffer Zone Ordinance. Also the Commission will review the Parking Ordinance to make possible amendments to include metered parking in the calculations for businesses in the Downtown Commercial Zoning District. All interested persons are invited to attend. July 8, 2010:Due to the recent dry weather, the water department is inviting customers to participate in voluntary water restrictions.

March 21, 2010:Ambler Borough is offering an e-mail subscription service for anyone wishing to receive timely information on Borough news, events and important bulletins. So if you would like to know about upcoming public meetings, date changes, modifications to trash or street sweeping schedules, yard waste pickup reminders or other important information, enter your address in the Join Our Email List box on this page.

March 18 2010:A new Leaf Waste Ordinance #1042 prohibits placing leaf waste in with regular trash. Leaf and Yard Waste materials will be picked up on the following TUESDAYS in 2010: January 12, February 9, March 9, April 20 and 27, May 4, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 16, 23 & 30, December 7. Separating yard waste materials for pickup will help reduce volume weight and contain costs of regular garbage pickup. Yard waste materials must continue to be placed in unlined cans or brown paper Recycle Bags. Plastic bags are prohibited. All uncollected materials must be stored on your property until scheduled pickup or dropped off at Barnside Farm.

Januray 14, 2010:Vacancies exist on Environmental Advisory Counsel and Appeals Board. Send letter of interest/resume to maversa@borough.ambler.pa.us.

December 2, 2009:Volunteers are sought to join several Ambler Borough Committees – Civil Service Commission (6 year term), Planning Commission (4 year term), Vacancy Board (1 year term), Appeals Board (3 year term, must be architect/construction engineer, may be a non-resident), Zoning Hearing Board (3 year term), and Zoning Hearing Board-Alternate (3 year term). November 4, 2009: The Earned Income Tax form is available from CENTAX

March 18, 2009: The 2009 budget is available.

January 23, 2009: The Montgomery County Foundation, Inc. (a community foundation and public charity) has launched and is continuing to build www.infolinkpa.org This web site will assist residents with locating services available to them and to their families. They will also be able to find available volunteer opportunities.
